PARENTS CODE OF CONDUCT

Mission Statement:
Quakertown Youth Baseball Association is a program of service to the members of the community. It is geared to
provide an outlet for healthy activity and training under good leadership in the atmosphere of wholesome community
participation.
I hereby pledge to provide positive support, care and encouragement for my child as well as all other players by being
a positive role model.
I will promise to help my child enjoy the sports experience within my personal constraints by assisting with coaching,
being a respectful fan, providing transportation for games and practices, working in the snack stand, umpiring,
helping with field maintenance and whatever else I am capable of doing. I will remember that QYBA is a voluntary
organization and that all coaches are unpaid volunteers, who are providing their time and skills for the betterment of
all the children.
Additionally, I promise to uphold the rules and regulations of QYBA within my control all the while remembering that
the game is for the children. Be responsible for treating other players, fans/spectators, coaches and umpires with
respect regardless of race, sex, creed or ability.
I understand that this Code applies not only to myself but also to any extended family or guest for which I invite to any
QYBA event and further acknowledge I will be responsible for.
At all times parents/guardians representing players of QYBA shall refrain from:
1. Comply with all applicable laws, codes and ordnances which can be found at: https://ecode360.com/14359656
2. In compliance with borough ordinances no smoking and/or use of smokeless tobacco, at QYBA games or
practice is permitted.
1st Offense - Written warning
2nd Offense - One week ban
3rd Offense - Suspension for remainder of calendar year
3. In compliance with borough ordinances, no use or possession of any alcoholic beverages and/or illegal
substance at any QYBA game or practice.
1st Offense - Suspension for remainder of calendar year.
4. Accept any Umpire’s decision, which involves judgment such as whether a hit is fair or foul, whether a pitch is a
strike or a ball, or whether a runner is safe or out, as final. Any umpire complaint is filed.
1st Offense - Written warning
2nd Offense - One week suspension (includes all ejections)
3rd Offense - Suspension for remainder of calendar year (includes 2
nd ejection)

5. Using profane language or be verbally abusive to any player, any parent, any coach or umpire. (Verbal abuse
includes but is not limited to: demeaning comments, threatening, abusive, or profane language or any similar
hand or body gesture.)
1st Offense - Written warning
2nd Offense - One week suspension
3rd Offense - Suspension for remainder of calendar year
6. Not be physically abusive to any player, any parents, any coach or umpire. Physical abuse includes but is not
limited to: hitting, slapping, pushing, spitting, kicking or striking in any way with any part of the body or any
physical implement.
1st Offense - Suspension for remainder of calendar year
7. Not deliberately incite any unsportsmanlike conduct.
1st Offense - Written warning
2nd Offense - One week suspension
3rd Offense - Suspension for remainder of calendar year
