Mission Statement
Quakertown Youth Baseball Association (QYBA) is a program of service to the members of the community. It is designed to provide an outlet for healthy activity and training under good leadership, within an atmosphere of wholesome community participation.
Parent/Guardian Pledge
As a parent or guardian of a QYBA player, I hereby pledge to:
Provide positive support, care, and encouragement for my child and all players.
Serve as a positive role model at all times.
Help my child enjoy their sports experience within my personal constraints by:
Assisting with coaching
Being a respectful fan
Providing transportation for games and practices
Working in the snack stand
Umpiring when needed
Helping with field maintenance
Volunteering in any other way I am capable
I understand that QYBA is a voluntary organization and that all coaches are unpaid volunteers who donate their time and skills for the benefit of all children.
I also agree to uphold the rules and regulations of QYBA, remembering that the game is for the children. I will treat all players, parents, spectators, coaches, and umpires with respect, regardless of race, sex, creed, or ability.
This Code of Conduct applies not only to me, but also to any extended family members or guests whom I invite to any QYBA event. I acknowledge that I am responsible for their conduct.
Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct
At all times, parents and guardians representing QYBA players shall comply with the following:
1. Compliance with Laws
2. Tobacco Use
Penalties:
1st Offense: Written warning
2nd Offense: One-week ban
3rd Offense: Suspension for the remainder of the calendar year
3. Alcohol & Illegal Substances
Penalty:
4. Umpire Decisions
Accept all umpire judgment calls (e.g., balls and strikes, fair or foul, safe or out) as final.
Any umpire complaint must be formally filed through proper channels.
Penalties:
1st Offense: Written warning
2nd Offense: One-week suspension (includes all ejections)
3rd Offense: Suspension for the remainder of the calendar year (includes second ejection)
5. Verbal Abuse
Do not use profane language or engage in verbal abuse toward any player, parent, coach, or umpire.
Verbal abuse includes, but is not limited to: demeaning comments, threats, abusive or profane language, or inappropriate gestures.
Penalties:
1st Offense: Written warning
2nd Offense: One-week suspension
3rd Offense: Suspension for the remainder of the calendar year
6. Physical Abuse
Do not engage in physical abuse toward any player, parent, coach, or umpire.
Physical abuse includes, but is not limited to: hitting, slapping, pushing, spitting, kicking, or striking with any body part or object.
Penalty:
7. Unsportsmanlike Conduct
Penalties:
1st Offense: Written warning
2nd Offense: One-week suspension
3rd Offense: Suspension for the remainder of the calendar year
