Lions Club Wins Majors Division 2025

Silas Leads Lions Club Past Mercatino By GameChanger
Silas S collected three hits in three at bats, as Lions Club defeated Mercatino 13-5 on Wednesday at 600 W Mill St. Silas S singled in the sixth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the fourth inning. Lions Club got on the board in the top of the first inning after Milo M singled to center field, Carter S doubled down the left field line, Owen W singled up the middle, and Quentin S doubled down the left field line, each scoring one run. Lions Club added one run in the second. Silas S walked, making the score 5-0. Lions Club added one run in the third after Quentin S doubled down the left field line. Lions Club scored five runs on four hits in the top of the fourth inning. Aiden E singled, scoring one run, Milo M was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Carter S singled, scoring three runs. Mercatino scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Giacomo R singled, scoring one run, Sawyer I singled, scoring one run, Talsyn C singled, scoring one run, and Trey A singled, scoring two runs. Owen W stepped on the mound first for Lions Club. The starting pitcher allowed six hits and five runs (zero earned) over four and one-third innings, striking out seven and walking none. Talsyn C began the game for Mercatino. The starter surrendered 12 hits and eight runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking two. Carter S pitched one and two-thirds innings of shutout ball for Lions Club in relief. The reliever gave up zero hits, striking out one and walking none. Lions Club piled up 16 hits in the game. Carter S drove the middle of the lineup, leading Lions Club with three runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Owen W, Milo M, Quentin S, and Aiden E each collected multiple hits for Lions Club. Owen W, Silas S, Milo M, William C, Liam K, Wyatt D, and Aiden E each stole multiple bases for Lions Club. Lions Club stole 24 bases in the game. Trey A led Mercatino with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The second baseman went 1-for-2 on the day.
