QYBA Quakertown Field Day - Saturday 8am
by posted 03/16/2010

QYBA’s first of two Field Days is this Saturday, the 20th of March at our Quakertown Complex. We will start at 8am working on all the fields at the Quakertown Complex (Majors through T-ball).

This year, as always, the fields need a lot of attention and the work will only get done if we get enough volunteers.  Please bring rakes, shovels, and wheelbarrows (please remember to put your names on your equipment to avoid any confusion). We will be doing a lot of painting this year, so dress appropriately if you are willing to paint.

Thank you for your help

Eric Johnson

QYBA - President

Game Cancellation Process
by posted 04/20/2009

QYBA will make every effort to play all games as scheduled. However, there will be times when bad weather (or other events) requires that we cancel games and close fields. The following is the procedure that QYBA will follow in 2009:

  • A decision will be made by 5pm regarding that night’s games
  • The QYBA Home Page has a box in the upper right hand corner titled "Field Status" containing a list of all QYBA fields and their status - the default will always be OPEN (and the last date that field was opened):

  • In the event of game cancellation, the status of affected field(s) will be updated to CLOSED – anyone who has a game scheduled on a field marked as CLOSED will immediately receive an automated game cancellation email
  • All cancelled games will be rescheduled through the division coordinators and then posted to the website
Please be aware that there may be times when it is not possible to update the Field Status and cancel games early enough to save you a trip to the fields. We will do our best to make an early decision and have the site updated as quickly as possible.

A recomendation - for those with text message capabilities on their cell phone, you can set up your QYBA account to optionally receive important news items, game cancellations and schedule change notification via text message to your cell phone. To do this:
  • Click the "Edit My Account" link at the bottom left of the QYBA Home Page
  • Enter your email address and password (if you don't know or have a password, just enter your email address and a temporary password will be immediately emailed to you).
  • Once logged in, click the name of the person who's information you would like to update
  • To the right of the cell phone field is a field named "Provider", with a drop-down menu of many carriers
  • Select your carrier, confirm your selection on the pop-up window by selecting "OK" - you are now set up to receive text messages from QYBA.
  • If you ever want to stop receiving text messages from QYBA, log back in and remove the provider from the drop-down menu.

We′re looking for some new sponsors
by posted 11/26/2008

QYBA looks forward to the continuing support we receive from the Quakertown community. Our sponsors help to fund a program that will be serving over 500 Quakertown area youth. This year, we are starting a new T-Ball division, so new sponsors will be needed.

As a team or billboard sponsor (or both), you are exposed to parents and friends of these players. Sponsorships are available for as little as $150 a year. Our sponsors logos are also prominently displayed on our website.

Click the Documents link to the left to download the 2009 Sponsor form.
