QYBA will be hosting our 1^st Annual Home Run Derby Contest on Saturday May 26^th at the Quakertown Fields.  This will be a Team and Individual competition for the Major, Minor and Pony Divisions.  The winners will be announced prior to our Championship Games in June.  The contest will be comprised of the following events:  Hitting, Base Running, Accuracy Throw and Distance Throw.  We will award medals to the Top 3 winners in each event as well as an overall winner for each division and team. 

• Major Field:  Hitting Competition
• Pony Field:  Base Running (Pony & Minor)
• Minor Field:  Base Running (Major)
• Colts Field:  Distance Throw and Accuracy

We need volunteers to help with recording scores and running each station.  If you are interested in assisting please reply to Jeff Gray and let him know what time you are available.    We need 2 people at each station.  Shifts will be from 9-11,  11-1 and 1 to finish.  "Many hands makes short work" thank you.

A unique feature of the QYBA website involves the ability to view your player's QYBA schedule, as well as other sibling's QMFA and RASA schedules, on one page and in one combined schedule. To do this:

• Go to your team page by clicking the “QYBA Teams” tab and selecting the appropriate season, division and team
  
• Click the “Multi-Schedule” link on the left side
  
• From this page, select the following:
  
  • Select the format you would like to view the combined schedule in by making the appropriate selection under “Schedule Type”
    
  • Place a check mark next to your daughter's team
    
  • In the “Other Area Clubs” section, click on the large plus sign to the left of Quakertown Midget Football Association and/or Richland Area Softball Association, and then place a check mark next to your players team
    
• Click the “Submit” button at the bottom and the combined schedule for all selected teams will be shown

The Multi-Schedule page allows you many different options, including viewing different combinations of QYBA team schedules, as well as viewing and combining other local outside organization’s schedules (note: these organizations must also use the same web hosting company in order to be listed).

QYBA will make every effort to play all games as scheduled. However, there will be times when bad weather (or other events) requires that we cancel games and close fields. The following is the procedure that QYBA will follow in 2010:

• A decision will be made by 5pm regarding that night’s games
• The QYBA Home Page has a box in the upper right hand corner titled "Field Status" containing a list of all QYBA fields and their status - the default will always be OPEN (and the last date that field was opened):
  

• In the event of game cancellation, the status of affected field(s) will be updated to CLOSED – anyone who has a game scheduled on a field marked as CLOSED will immediately receive an automated game cancellation email
  
• All cancelled games will be rescheduled through the division coordinators and then posted to the website

Please be aware that there may be times when it is not possible to update the Field Status and cancel games early enough to save you a trip to the fields. We will do our best to make an early decision and have the site updated as quickly as possible.

Please keep all of your parent and player information up to date on the QYBA website.  This information will be used to contact you in an emergency as well as to keep you informed of any changes to game schedules and to let you know important dates and deadlines such as registrations and tryouts.

To check or update your information, simply go to the "Edit My Account" link (on the left side of the Home Page). Next, enter your email address and password and click on submit. If you don't know or forgot your password, simply enter only your email address and click submit - the system will send you your password via email.
